Origin of the motif

Berlin · Summer

Photographed by Anna Lea Theodocion. Like "I – Ascent," "II – Point of Light" was also created during an encounter with the city's architecture – but in a different location. While "Ascent" guides the eye upwards along clear lines, "Point of Light" directs it to a still focal point in space.

Two different places thus become a shared pictorial idea: movement and tranquility, ascent and arrival.

About the Artist

Anna Lea Theodocion combines fine-art photography with poetic imagery. Nature, architecture, and light come together to create serene visual worlds of timeless presence.

More about the artist →

“II – Light Point” picks up the movement of “I – Ascent” and brings it to rest. Where lines guide the gaze, light itself becomes form. Between geometry, space, and silence, a timeless composition full of clarity and serenity emerges.

As a Diptych

“I – Ascent” and “II – Light Point” were developed as a pair of works. While “Ascent” leads the gaze upwards, it finds its quiet center in “Light Point.” Together, they create balance, depth, and architectural serenity.
